The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Police Service to recruit 12,000 young people as Community Police Assistants across the country.

The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of the Interior and was witnessed by the Minister for the Interior and the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment.

According to Malik Basintale, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), this initiative is another major step towards tackling youth unemployment while enhancing community safety and policing. It reflects YEA’s unwavering commitment to creating sustainable job opportunities and empowering young people to contribute meaningfully to national development.
