Atwima Nwabiagya South Joins National Sanitation Day with Clean-Up Exercise

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Atwima Nwabiagya South, Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah, led a clean-up exercise in Nerebehi, Akrofuom, and Gyankobaa as part of the National Sanitation Day. The initiative aimed to restore dignity to the communities by ensuring a clean and healthy environment.

Residents from all walks of life, including traders, drivers, shop owners, food vendors, and staff from the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipal Assembly, participated in the exercise. Activities included desilting choked drains, sweeping dirty areas, and collecting rubbish from key parts of the municipality.

Hon. Wisdom Osei Boamah praised the high level of participation and emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean environment. He encouraged residents to adopt good sanitation practices as part of their daily routines to ensure a healthier and more attractive municipality.

The Municipal Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Prosper Argum, led the initiative and advised residents to keep their surroundings clean to avoid fines. He emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining a clean environment.
