Two members of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Aburaso have died, and several others, including children, are in critical condition after a crash on the Kumasi-Bechem Highway on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Eyewitnesses say the victims were seated along the roadside when a commercial bus (AS 6255-18) veered off after a tyre burst. A church elder was among those killed.
Witness Agyei Boateng Douglas revealed that passing vehicles refused to stop and help until a tricycle driver transported the injured to the hospital. Two victims were pronounced dead at Adugyama Hospital, while others were transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency care.
