The Municipal Chief Executive of Asokore Mampong, Honourable Ben Abdallah Alhassan, has held a sanitation conference with traditional, religious, and opinion leaders, to sample their concerns and recommendations as the assembly prepares to officially launch a fierce fight against the growing spate of sanitation indiscipline in the various communities within the municipality.
Speaking in an interview at the event which was held at the assembly on Monday, 29th September 2025, Honourable Abdallah noted that the assembly has established a set of by-laws that would clearly spell out appropriate sanctions against persons who are caught willfully engaging in the indiscriminate disposal of waste.
According to Honourable Abdallah, the assembly would commission a taskforce to oversee the strict enforcement of sanitation regulations and also provide public education on sanitation in the various communities.
