Residents of Akyode Youth in the Ashanti Region have been cautioned against teenage pregnancy and abortion.

Addressing members, the youth president of the group, Mr. Peter Ntasah, advised them that abortion is taboo and an act that can destroy their future, hence it’s imperative to avoid engaging in early sex and behaviours that may have the tendency of destroying their lives.

That notwithstanding, Danso Laten, Chief of Okata, also used the opportunity to call for a truce among residents of Akyode here in Kumasi as part of measures to promote peace-building.

“Disassociate yourself from any dastardly behaviours that may lead to bloodshed”.  The paramount chief of Akyode Traditional Area, Nana Obombo Lepuwura Sewura’s prime objective is to ensure peace and unity…and to observe this sole desire of Nana Obombo Lepuwura Sewura will be paramount to him.

He, however, implored the youth residents of Akyode living in Kumasi to critically measure their way of living here in the Ashanti Region and in Akyode in the Oti Region with the prime commitment not to engage in any misconduct or take decisions that may lead them into trouble.
