Oforikrom Municipal To Commence 24-Hour Market Next Year-MCE Hon Sadat Hinted

As the President, H. Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the Vice President, Her Excellency Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s strongest bet is to transform the Ghanaian economy through job creation amidst empowering women.

Through thoughtful insight, plans are far advanced for the government to build a 24-hour market facility in every district in the country.

This laudable news was revealed by the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed during the 41st Farmers’ Day Anniversary at Boadi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Addressing farmers and the people of Boadi, Hon. Ahmed lauds the country gallant farmers especially those in the municipality for their resilient and hard work toward putting food on the table for all…and tasked them to continue thier cause to make Ghana a better place for all. Adding, John Dramani Mahama’s government is committed to create jobs for the teeming youth for which reason, he introduced the “Nkokonkitinkiti” as part of measures to drastical reduce the important of frozen chicken into the country and the Municipal under his supervision will make sure the birds are equitably distributed. That not said, the Municipal township roads are pivotal concern to the constituency and as we speak, negotiations are being facilitating to deploy the DRIP machines to reshape all deplorable roads to enhance movement of vehicles.

The Vice President who is responsible for this initiative, this influx of job creation will not only provide immediate income for families but will also stimulate local businesses and encourage entrepreneurship.

Speaking during this year’s farmers’ Day with the theme: Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Hon. Sadat Ahmed employed the youth to participate in the farming sector to transform their future.

On his part, the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon. Michael Aidoo lauds our giant farmers for their significant efforts in making sure they feed the nation. He used the event to call on the government to support farmers with soft loans and farm inputs to help cushion their businesses.

The chair person for the occasion, Boadihemaa, Oheneyire, Huahi Akua Asamoah salutes award winning farmers and all farmers for their unwavering contribution in their quest to put food on the table for Ghanaians.

In her closing remarks, Oheneyire Huahi Akua Asamoah appeals to the government through the Municipal Chief Executive to consider facilitating measures to decentralise the  electoral areas in the community to enhance Development. She was of the view that, considering the nature of the communities like Boadi, Amena and Apemso…it’s very challenging for one Assemblyman to bring development to all these communities.

That notwithstanding, the 2025 Municipal Best Farmer was given to Alhassan Musa who went home with Tricycle, wheelbarrow, sprayer machines and other farm inputs. He received the overall award and thanked the MCE, and all thise that have made his winning possible and charged on the youth to take part in the farming business.
